We offer intensive and practical water lifeguard training, in accordance with current regulations. Classes are taught by experienced water rescue instructors, and upon completion of the course you will receive an official certificate for legal employment.

What is the water lifeguard course like?

Duration and organization of training

Full water rescue officer course ongoing 63 teaching hours, which meets the requirements of Ministry of the Interior. You can choose between two modes: weekend i intensive. Each module combines theory and practice, and we arrange the schedule so that you can reconcile the course with work or studies.

Entry requirements for candidates

  • Age ≥ 18 years on the day of the exam
  • No medical contraindications
  • Swim 400m freestyle in less than 8 minutes
  • On the first day, we do a swim test and a short strength test to select an individual training pace

Course program - theory and practice

  • Legal and organizational basis: Provisions of the Law on Lifeguarding, water law, rules for designating swimming areas, lifeguard safety, ethics of the profession.
  • Swimming pool - rescue techniques: Rescue jumps, rescue style with head above water, towing a casualty 150 meters, diving to retrieve objects, dart and wheel maneuvers and much more.
  • Open water bodies - water shares: Swimming performance, towing in wave conditions using various methods, swimming up the stern to the berth, maneuvering the boat or kayak, evacuating the injured person to shore.
  • Equipment and communications: Operation of the wheel, board, pamel, other rescue equipment and emergency call procedures.
  • Sample exam: Full simulation of the theoretical test and all six practical tasks; error analysis and individual feedback before the actual state exam.

Final exam and eligibility

The state exam consists of 30 question test and
6 practical tasks:

  1. 400 m freestyle ≤ 8 min.
  2. 25 m underwater with extraction of 2 objects.
  3. 50 m rescue style ≤ 55 s (head above the surface).
  4. Towing a drowning person 150 m - without a break.
  5. Rescue boat or kayak 75 m × 2 - time ≤ 2 min 40 s.
  6. Simulated rescue + CPR & position for KPP.

Passed exam = official water lifeguard certification,
respected by swimming, bathing and spa hotels throughout the country.

Certificate, career and opportunities after the course

The certificate is issued immediately after the exam - according to the formula Journal of Laws. 2012 item 747. This allows you to start work the very next day. The course also opens the door to specialization KPP, instructor qualifications and rescue services during mass events. This is the most important document in the water rescue industry.

The price of the Professional Water Lifeguard Course in Poland is as follows. 1900 zloty. The price includes: theoretical and practical classes in the pool and open water, lifeguard equipment rental, training materials and a state exam.

Certificate of completion water lifeguard training is unlimited; it does not need to be renewed.

Yes. In accordance with the law
A water rescuer must have current Qualified First Aid (KPP) certificate..
The document is valid for 3 years and must be renewed regularly if you plan to work professionally continuously.

The lifeguard certificate itself does not expire, but the KPP certificate you need to recertify every 3 years through a „refresher” exam at an accredited center.

The authorizations allow employment at aqua parks, municipal pools, guarded swimming pools, spa hotels, colony centers and mass waterfront events.

Current regulations do not require a mandatory medical certificate or sanitary booklet,
to work as a water lifeguard after completing the course.

The organizer provides a lifebelt, dart reel, board and pamel, as well as a boat/kayak for training, CPR phantoms, and other accessories for water rescue training. Students come only with their own swimsuit, goggles and cap - the rest is included in the course price.

Water rescuer = a person with state certification and the right to work. WOPR lifeguard = a member of the association who does not have professional credentials. To undertake paid service, a WOPR lifeguard must also complete a water rescue course.
